Brisbane's North-South Bypass Tunnel has a new name. It's called the CLEM7.

This revolutionary piece of infrastructure will be the perfect way to honour Clem Jones, one of Brisbane's favourite Lord Mayors.

The 6.8 kilometre CLEM7 will connect Woolloongabba in the south to Bowen Hills in the north, and will be the first section of the new M7 motorway.

By 2010, its benefits to this great city will be enormous. It will bypass the CBD and up to 18 sets of traffic lights, reduce travel time by up to 30%, cut fuel costs, lower stress and improve safety.

So now we can all look forward to better times ahead.
